Quebec, Canada – July 2025
NMP Global Innovation, represented by its founder Nada Panayiotou, proudly participated in the 18-Month Meeting and 4th General Assembly of the INGUMA Project, hosted by Université Laval in Quebec, Canada. This key event brought together European and Canadian partners under the theme “Europe meets Canada”, highlighting cross-continental collaboration on innovative bio-based construction materials.
With its strong commitment to supporting sustainable innovation, NMP Global Innovation contributed to the strategic development and communication efforts of the project, actively participating in workshops and discussions aimed at advancing the project’s goals in circular bioeconomy, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability.
The agenda featured high-level sessions including:
- WP1 to WP7 progress updates across sustainability, manufacturing, and circularity
- Interactive workshops on stakeholder co-creation, New European Bauhaus, and authorship
- Project management sessions with a focus on dissemination, exploitation, and gender analysis
NMP provided logistical and communication support during the sessions and participated in the networking and strategy discussions. This role is in line with NMP’s mission to foster impactful European collaborations, especially in the areas of bioeconomy, innovation strategy, and international policy dialogue.
Université Laval, as the sixth largest university in Canada, plays a vital role in the INGUMA project by identifying and testing best practices in the co-creation of bio-based insulation materials with end-users and communities in Canada.
According to Javier Garcia Jaca, the INGUMA Project Coordinator from TECNALIA: “It is a privilege that we have been able to involve an important partner outside Europe in our work on the INGUMA project.”
The visit to Quebec was more than symbolic; it marks a decisive point in the project as the partners prepare for the next milestone phase, focused on scaling production and construction of experimental buildings in Spain and Finland.
